New Appointment Announcement
Credo is pleased to welcome Charles van der Merwe as Managing Director, Wealth Solutions. Charles van der Merwe

Charles joined Credo in April 2013 and will be based in Credo's London office.

As Managing Director of Wealth Solutions, Charles will focus on developing and managing Credo's Financial Institutions' business in the UK and Europe.

Building on the success of Credo's in-house investment platform, Charles will lead Credo's expansion in the provision of outsourcing solutions to Wealth Managers, Financial Advisory firms and Family Offices, with an initial focus on the UK and Offshore markets.

Charles has more than 12 years' experience providing outsourcing solutions to Wealth Managers, Financial Advisors and Family Offices. Recently, as CEO of Pershing Ltd, a BNY Mellon company, he was responsible for some 60 Financial Institutions with £37bn of assets under custody, and responsible for 700 staff. "Charles' market knowledge, his experience and successful track record make him uniquely qualified to lead the expansion of Credo's Financial Institutions' business in Europe", said Credo Group CEO, Roy Ettlinger.

Charles qualified as a South African Chartered Accountant and is also a member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).

Commenting on his appointment, Charles said "I am really excited about developing Credo's Financial Institutions' business in Europe and working with and developing solutions for Institutional clients that help them to succeed in today's wealth management market".
